Millennium Park (2004) designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill is situated in a northern expansion of Grant Park. It covers more than 24 acres on what was an unsightly railroad. It has become a world-class cultural destination for families, tourists and convention-goers. It is estimated to attract 23 million visitors a year.
